Manhunts¶
Set up hunt-style gameplay where players are tracked and can earn rewards.
What It Does¶
Manhunts let you designate a player as a "hunted" target. Other players can earn rewards for killing the hunted player or surviving until the manhunt expires. This is great for special events and server competitions.
How It Works¶
When a manhunt is started:
- A manhunt start notification is sent to the configured manhunt channel
- The hunted player has an optional expiry time (default: 1 hour)
- Other players earn rewards for killing the hunted player before expiry
- If the hunted player survives until expiry, they earn the survive reward
- Expired manhunts are automatically cleaned up
- If the hunted player is still online when a manhunt expires, a "survived" event is posted
Manhunt Parameters¶
| Parameter | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| until | 1 hour | How long the manhunt lasts |
| kill_reward | 0.0 | Reward for killing the hunted player |
| survive_reward | 0.0 | Reward for surviving the manhunt |
Starting a Manhunt¶
Manhunts are typically started by server administrators through the bot's admin interface or triggered by events such as zone violations.
Manhunt Notifications¶
To receive manhunt start, end, and survive notifications, bind a dedicated channel:
